Retirement and Pension Planning

Pensions are important...

They can provide an essential money source for your dream retirement and allow you to live the lifestyle you have worked so hard to achieve. Pensions have also changed a lot over the last 20 years.

You may have had several jobs, or a period of self employment and these will have affected they type and complexity of your pension.

Our expert advisers can help you to understand your options and give you pension advice that is right for your circumstances and specific needs.

Retirement Planning

Whether you are planning for the future or your retirement is imminent, the choices are rarely straightforward. That is where Longton FS can help.

Great care must be given when considering the benefits, tax implications and affordability of any plan. Our advisers will ensure you are given the best advice no matter what your situation or arrangements.

We will work with you to design a bespoke pension plan tailored around your individual circumstances and goals. Our company is built on the strength of our client relationships and we frequently work with clients for many years.

Personal Pensions or SIPPS

Broadly speaking there are 2 main options when it comes to taking benefits from your personal pension or SIPP.

Income Drawdown

Your capital will remain invested and you can cash in part of your pension on a regular or ad hoc basis to provide income or lump sums as you need them.

Annuities

You use your pension capital to buy a guaranteed income for the rest of your life.

We will work with you to determine the best course of action for your situation so that you can achieve your objectives.

Pension Consolidation

Most people will build up more than one pension fund over the course of their working life. Naturally some of these may contain old and antiquated products with poorly performing investments and unreasonable charges.

We frequently work with clients in this situation to consolidate their pensions and streamline their retirement planning. This allows our clients the best chance of seeing their funds grow at the same time as lightening the burden of administration.
